President of the Year Award
This award recognizes the outstanding contribution of a student leader who is currently the 2017-2018 President for their HSA/HSO.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Contribution to the organization
- Ability to motivate others
- Innovation and change made as an executive board member
- Impact on the membership
- Commitment to being a role model
FL HSA/HSO of the Year
This award recognizes all around organizational achievement of the Best HSA/HSO chapter in Florida.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Successful recruitment and retention of organizations members
- Quality of programming provided
- Impact on the community
- Leadership opportunities provided through membership
Most Supportive HSA/HSO
This award recognizes a HSA/HSO that has demonstrated and sustained a passion for the advancement of diversity, unity, and inclusion.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Commitment to the advancement of diversity and inclusion
- Pursuing inclusivity within their student organization
- Raising campus and/or community awareness of diversity issues
- Promoting opportunities for open, honest dialogue centered on issues of diversity, unity and inclusion
- Held campus programs that provide education and raise awareness on topics related to diversity and unity.
Most Improved HSA/HSO
This award recognizes a student organization that have shown the most improvements, creating a community where their members can feel connected to the HSA/HSO community and have demonstrated the most of positive changes.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Creating a significant membership roster.
- Strong visibility on campus community and opportunities provided to students.
- Has significantly improved internally and externally with events, and programs.
Community Service of Excellence
The Community Service of Excellence Award recognizes the importance of volunteerism of the HSA/HSO chapters and their members in the Haitian community within their respective region.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Volunteered in difference making programs
- Have the most community service hours
- Host events/programs that catered to the less fortunate
HSA/HSO Philanthropy
This award will recognize an HSA/HSO chapter for their philanthropic work/initiative in Haiti or in the state of Florida.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Contributes to the scholastic advancement of Haitian students
- Have the most impact on Haitian students
Advisor of the Year
This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of an HSA/HSO advisor to his/her student organization.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Impact on the organization
- Commitment to the Development of the organization and its members.
- Accessible to members and has a presence in organizations meetings and events.
- Must serve as an advisor for the organization at least two years continuously.
Most Active HSA/HSO Male Royalty
This award will recognize the most active HSA/HSO Male Royalty based on his appearance and representation of his HSA/HSO chapter throughout his institution as well as the Haitian community.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:

Most Active HSA/HSO Female Royalty
This award will recognize the most active HSA/HSO Female Royalty based on her appearance and representation of her HSA/HSO chapter throughout her institution as well as the Haitian community.

Best Supporting DJs
This award will recognize the Best supporting DJs to the HSA/HSO community in Florida.

- Played at the most HSA/HSO events
Best Dance Captain/Coordinator
This award will recognize the Best Dance Captain/Coordinator from the HSA/HSO community in Florida.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Best team performances
- Best team coordination
- Best team chemistry
- Best creativity
Best UHSF Region
This award will recognize the most active UHSF Region based on the HSA/HSO chapters performance from that region.
Qualifications for this award includes, but is not limited to:
- Have the most active HSA/HSO chapter
- Have the most community Service Hours
- Have the most improved HSA/HSO Chapters
